报告一题目：Gene Golub and the HSS Iteration Method

报告人：白中治，中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院研究员 

摘要：We give a brief introduction about the personal biography and academic achievements of Gene Golub, and present a skeletal review about the HSS iteration method and a few related, together with their theoretical results. 

报告人简介：白中治，中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院研究员、博士生导师，曾获国家杰出青年科学基金、冯康科学计算奖、国家教委科学技术进步奖三等奖、中国科学院青年科学家奖二等奖，国家级“新世纪百千万人才工程计划”以及国务院政府特殊津贴。曾多次受邀访问牛津大学计算实验室、卢瑟福实验室，瑞士苏黎世联邦工学院，东京大学应用物理系，香港大学数学系，斯坦福大学计算机科学系和加州大学柏克利分校数学系等国际一流研究院所。现任国内外多个著名杂志编委。白中治研究员的主要研究领域有数值线性代数、数值优化、并行计算及微分方程数值解。他在线性与非线性代数方程组和互补问题的高效数值方法，矩阵方程的快速求解算法等领域均有重要贡献。在《SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing》、《SIAM Journal on Matrix Analysis and Applications》、《SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis》、《Mathematics of Computation》、《Numerische Mathematik》等著名国际学术刊物上发表科研论文300余篇，其中2003年由白中治和美国科学院院士、斯坦福大学教授G.H. Golub等提出的HSS迭代算法被认为具有重要的里程碑意义，是线性系统迭代算法研究领域近20年来最重要的进展之一。此外，白中治研究员己连续多年入选Elsevier中国高被引学者榜（数学前5名）。 

报告二题目：The likelihood ratio test in bilinear models (II)

报告人：Dietrich von Rosen, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and Linköping University 

摘要：This talk is the extension of the keynote lecture in “2018 Beijing Workshop on Linear Models” available at http://sam.cufe.edu.cn/info/1037/2047.htm The talk will derive the distribution in a somewhat different way than what usually is applied which also sheds some light on some conditional arguments. 

报告人简介：Dietrich von Rosen graduated (1986) from Stockholm University, Stockholm, Sweden as a mathematical statistician. He is currently Professor in statistics at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala, Sweden. Von Rosen’s main interest is multivariate statistical analysis, in particular spatial-temporal models and high-dimensional statistical analysis. Moreover, von Rosen has experiences from complicated data analyses as well as advanced modeling, including spatial-temporal environmental data and EEG analysis of depressed patients. Von Rosen has more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals and is a coauthor (with T. Kõllo, Tartu University) of a book on advanced multivariate analysis. Recent research projects include projects supported by the Swedish Natural Research Council, the Swedish Institute, the Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research, Linneaues Centre for Bioinformatics, and others. Von Rosen is Associate Editor of the Journal of Statistical Planning and Inference, Statistical papers, Journal of Multivariate Analysis, and Acta et Commentationes Universitatis Tartuensis de Mathematica.
